Over the course of my career I have worked with many different managers and product development teams. They are all different and unique. But there is one constant predictor of success for a project – how well planning is applied. And this does not just mean for the project teams themselves, but to a whole organization with many project teams. If an organization does not plan well, then project teams find themselves without resources, and the organization environment causes the project to fail.
So a good project plan is required for every project. But an organization needs a plan – it needs to look ahead for all projects to ensure projects are setup for success in the first place.
