One of the responsibility of a manager is to build the capability of a team of individuals. Especially in highly competitive environments, it is necessary to always seek ways to get work done faster with less effort. The teams that do this best usually arm their company with a competitive edge.
These ‘ways’ can mean anything. New software, new equipment, a different approach to solving the same problem. The bottom line is that for an individual on their own, it is almost impossible to improve. But with a team, it is remarkable the kinds of improvements that can be found.
